Ministry Center Construction

Northern Mozambique is the most underdeveloped region of the country, and it is also known to be the Islamic stronghold of the nation dating back centuries. In the face of this reality the Assemblies of God church in Mozambique desires to plant more churches and reach more people than ever before. Our desire is to come alongside the national church and partner with their bold initiative to take the Gospel to those who have never heard.

Ministry Center Progress

To help accomplish this task we have begun construction on an Assemblies of God Ministry Center located on AGWM property and in close proximity to the unreached people groups of the nation. How will this project help accomplish the task of taking the Gospel to the unreached communities? What will it take to bring this building project to completion?

The purpose of the Ministry Center is threefold.

1. Reaching unreached communities using sports. The Ministry Center will serve as a base for leadership training in children’s ministry and also for screen printing t-shirts for the evangelistic sports outreaches. The relationship built through sports will open the door for the church to be planted.

2. Training leaders to plant churches in unreached communities. The Ministry Center is in partnership with Oral Learners Bible Institute and will serve as a base for training church planters who will then take the Gospel to those communities who have no church.

3. Resourcing the local church to disciple believers. The Ministry Center will serve as a base to develop and publish discipleship material for all ages in their language and adapted to their culture.

How much will the completion of this project cost?

The estimated cost to finish the Ministry Center is US$30,000. The first step of completing this project is the plastering of the interior and exterior walls. 100 bags of cement are needed as well as the sand and labor fees. 100 gifts of $30 will complete this next step. The second step is the purchase and installation of windows and doors. 12 gifts of $400 will complete the windows while 8 gifts of $500 will complete the doors. The third step will be the lighting and electrical work where 1 gift of $6,000 will purchase the materials and cover the labor. After those 3 steps there will be the final stage which includes the plumbing, painting, and floor tiles. Once funds are available, it will only take a few months for the Ministry Center to be functioning and impacting the communities through the power of the Gospel.
